Chuck Lee Banjo Company

We’re the Chuck Lee family and Banjo Making is our second family business (the first was a Plumbing Company).  A true family effort goes into the production of each banjo.  Each child has an important role to play, which varies by skill level to include not only cleaning the shop, but some of the assembly and then packing of the final product.  Even our children who have “flown the coop” have involvement ranging from advice and website work to field representative and product tester.

While still being a small “Mom and Pop” operation, the most intensive hours are invested by Chuck, who has a visionary perspective and willingness to study and labor into all hours of the night.  He’s been blessed with a creative drive and unrelenting persistence.  Wife Tammy makes it possible for him to be effective, giving a needed “foot on the ground” anchor.  But her task is not limited to encourager and friend; she is quite involved in parts production and finishing, from beginning to end.  People are surprised to learn that, most of the time, we like to work together!

 We have learned that a “family business” is good for the family, and it’s good for business too.
